What We Do

Creating female leaders ignites global change

Our work begins with women in Somalia, but the effects reach entire communities, inspiring others to become change agents for the greater good of Somalia - and the world.

When women are educated and empowered they are in a better position to become active citizens creating social and economic change, as well as advocates for their own rights.

The Global Enrichment Foundation focuses on harnessing the power of women by providing opportunities for women to reclaim their lives from the devastating effects of war. The goal of total gender equality is the foundation of all our work.

We work in three important areas:

Education

Economic Empowerment

SHE WILL is a micro-finance initiative launched by The Global Enrichment Foundation in 2011.

Community Empowerment

Community based initiatives educate and empower women giving them the tools they need to break free from limiting belief patterns and the societal conditioning that has oppressed them. By using culturally sensitive approaches, our programs are a response to what Somali women themselves are striving to accomplish and that the community has identified as important. Our work focuses on cultivating leadership through the promotion of sport and by providing materials for female led peace-building and advocacy movements.
