Get Involved!Getting involved with The Global Enrichment Foundation is an opportunity to empower deserving women in Somalia. In doing so you are helping to reduce poverty and grow Somalia's economy as well as supporting the global women's movement. There are so many ways to help! VolunteerVolunteering for The Global Enrichment Foundation is an opportunity for individuals to be part of a professional, people-centered organization built on respect for human dignity and compassion. We encourage volunteers to use their own special talents and take initiative in suggesting new activities - use your enthusiasm and embrace the opportunity to help plan an event, start a GEF Chapter in your school, join our social media support team or champion any other creative project you can come up with! We will support you in any way we can. We ask anyone interested in volunteering to please email info@globalenrichmentfoundation.com, let us know what you would be interested in doing, and we will contact you as soon as possible. Involve Your CompanyYour company can show they care about the women of Somalia by engaging employees in initiatives that create a positive image among customers and fulfill corporate social responsibility objectives at the same time. Your support will allow us to help more women and create lasting, positive change for them and their communities. Make a difference
Organize a FundraiserFundraisers can be held just about anywhere, and anyone can organize one! Ask your church, school, workplace or community group if you can host an event to raise money for the women of Somalia. From black tie soirées to bake sales, there is no limit on what kind of fundraiser you can plan! |
Making a Difference!
Beginning in 2010, Karen Luukkonen has set up a table at THE HUB in Red Deer, Alberta every Friday from 12-3, selling beautiful handicrafts from Thailand and India with all proceeds going to the Somali Women's Scholarship Program.
Since the launch of the Somali Women's Scholarship Program in May 2010, Angie Stewart has been a dedicated supporter volunteering her time to help at fundraisers across Alberta!
